Overview
This position is responsible for the performance of a variety of laboratory tests in an accurate and timely manner. Professional judgment is exercised to ascertain the appropriateness of the test orders, the validity of test results and to communicate this information to the physician

Responsibilities
- Performs highly complex laboratory procedures in a variety of laboratory sections with minimum supervision
- Performs continuous quality assurance activities
- Maintains general operations of the laboratory
- Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years experience May include MLS clinical rotations as 1 year of experience, preferred Clinical Laboratory experience or
- Associate's Degree and 1-2 years experience Preferred Clinical Laboratory experience or
- Employees must obtain Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist Int - ASCP or equivalent within 180 days
- MT - ASCP or AAB Certified Medical Technologist - ASCP within 6 months of hire Required
- MLS - ASCP Certified Medical Lab Scientist - ASCP within 6 months of hire Required
- Certification in a Lab Specialty Required
