The Director of Community Impact Programs oversees and manages all aspects of initiatives that aim to make a positive and lasting difference in a community. Primary Job Functions

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of initiatives that aim to make a positive and lasting difference in a community.

Program Development & Management

  • Lead the implementation and development of community programs and services.
  • Identify target populations and design programs to meet those needs.
  • Ensure that program activities are aligned with the organization's mission, vision and strategic goals.
  • Develop policies, procedures, and guidelines for all community programs.
  • Monitor program performance, assess outcomes and implement improvements based on data-driven decision making.
  • Identify grants and funding sources; partner with Grants Team to prepare federal, state and community grant applications.
  • Participate in development of contracts and agreements.

Operations Management

  • Build strong relationships with community members, local organizations, government agencies, and other stakeholders to create partnerships and collaborations.
  • Manage contractor and funder relationships, confirming services meet local community needs.
  • Manage adherence to performance and productivity standards, as well as, compliance and quality improvement processes.
  • Participate in business line and organizational work groups, when appropriate.
  • Work in partnership with the Executive Directors and Philanthropy team to create effective plans in support of local programs, when appropriate.
  • Provide consistency in service delivery in partnership with Executive Directors and program leadership.
  • Develop program budgets, monitor expenses, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Collaborate with relevant Home Office Support Team members in program support and execution.
  • Assist with EEO and ADA allegations, coordinating prompt investigations, collecting auxiliary aid/service provider data regarding effectiveness and appropriateness of delivery, maintaining records, assisting DCF with operational performance as well as concerns or complaints raised by deaf or hard of hearing clients or companions, and reporting in compliance with ADA/Section 504.

2. Recruit, develop and lead a team capable of supporting CHS performance and growth strategies (complying with COA Standard TS, when appropriate), while fostering an engaging, positive work environment.

  • Recruit, supervise and support team members and foster their professional development, including the transfer of knowledge obtained through training.
  • Establish annual team goals and objectives; track and report results.
  • Coach, support and evaluate team member performance, taking corrective action if needed.
  • Deliver timely communication through regular management and team meetings.
  • Comply and confirm compliance with CHS code of conduct, policies, practices and other legal obligations.
  • Implementing policies and practices designed to prevent, recognize and respond to work-related stress.
  • Participate in succession planning to build the bench strength necessary for future talent needs.
  • Develop a strong knowledge base and stay current on job-related issues and trends.
  • Participate actively in departmental meetings, training and education, as well as the quality process.
  • Pick up projects on the fly; perform other duties as assigned from time to time.
  • Demonstrate the CHS Common Bond values in the performance of all job duties.

Job Qualifications

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

  • Master's Degree in Education or Human Services related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Criminal Justice, etc.) from an accredited university–OR–Non-Human Services related Master’s degree and extensive experience in Community Solutions and demonstrated management skills, required.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered, pending program/funding requirements
  • Florida Driver’s License within 30 days from hire with daily access to a reliable and insured vehicle, required.

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in child and family well-being, required.
  • Experience building strong relationships with community-based organizations serving diverse populations of children and families in a variety of settings, required.

Schedule Expectations:

The incumbent will work a standard scheduled week, which may include weekends, holidays and evenings. The ability to work flexible hours is required to meet business needs. If working remotely, incumbent will be required to be available by telephone and email during specified hours. Travel will be on an as-needed basis to conduct business-related activities; may be required to work at a CHS location, when necessary
