About Children of America

COA provides high-quality early childhood education and care for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age. Our programs include:

• Infant
• Toddler
• Preschool

As a School Director, you will play a key role in creating a positive school culture, supporting your educators, building strong family relationships, and ensuring the school operates successfully while delivering a high-quality educational experience.

What You'll Do

As a School Director, you will:

• Lead, develop, motivate, and retain a talented team of educators and support staff
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school
• Build strong relationships with children, families, employees, and the community
• Drive enrollment growth through the execution of the COA Experience
• Support and maintain high standards of quality care and education
• Ensure compliance with all applicable state childcare regulations and licensing requirements
• Implement and maintain COA policies, procedures, and operational standards
• Support the successful execution of the school's annual budget and performance goals
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and engaging work environment
• Partner with regional and corporate leadership to achieve operational and educational goals
• Identify opportunities to improve the school experience for children, families, and employees

• Children and families
• Teachers and support staff
• School leadership
• Regional and corporate operations teams
• Facilities and custodial teams
• Other COA support partners

You'll have the support of an experienced regional leadership team while having the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at your school.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a leader who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys developing people and building strong relationships.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or CDA
• 2–4 years of leadership experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility
• Strong knowledge of early childhood education and development
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to remain flexible and solution-oriented in challenging situations
• Commitment to professional growth and development
• Proficiency with technology, including industry-specific applications and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must meet all applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements

Travel Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% for training, professional development, and organizational meetings

Compensation

Base Pay: $70,000–$80,000 annually

Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. This position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and additional benefits.
