Why does the job exist?
This position will report to the Director of Workforce Development (WFD). Duties will include planning, developing, and design training programs for the agency. This position will work alongside the Training Evaluator to evaluate what programs need to be developed or improved. Partnership with agency leadership and key program staff to understand training needs and apply agency policies/procedures during analysis/review. WFD has designated Trainer/Coaches statewide who provide support and training throughout the state however, it is imperative to have dedicated staff that can develop and modify training programs included but not limited to tools and resources in response to agency needs.How does it get done?

Ideal Candidate
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or Equivalency and two (2) years of experience in adult education, instructional design, instructional technology, human resources, employee development, training, and/or producing instructional aid/materials. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.Employment Requirements
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extend periods of sitting, driving and standing. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. In-state travel is required approximately 15% of the time. Working conditions for individuals will vary based on specific needs of the state agencies.
