Purpose of this position:
Children’s Service Center Substance Use Disorder Program (SUD-Program) which provides Prevention, Education and intervention services within local school districts, is currently looking for an energetic and dependable person who works well collectively as a prevention education team member. If you are ambitious and confident in your ability to learn and help others, the School Based SUD Specialist position is right for you. You will not only be trained to provide services to youth in school districts throughout our area of coverage, but also other various community settings such as daycares, employers, conferences, community events, etc.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Knowledge of current drug trends effects
- Strengths in speaking in public settings
- Ability to maintain a patient centered approach
- Application of trauma informed care
- Collaboration with team members and school districts
- Being well organized and adaptive within the work environment

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or above from an accredited college or university, with a Major in Chemical Dependency, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other related field which includes a practicum in a Health or Human Services agency.
Certification as a prevention specialist by a state wide certification body is preferred.
Salary : $150
