K-8 Private School Teacher - Walton Academy
Pay: $40,000–$45,000 per year

Responsibilities
- Plan and teach lessons aligned to the NC Standard Course of Study
- Track student growth using pre- and post-tests
- Implement a consistent classroom behavior management system
- Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff
- Assist with administering and recording Iowa Test of Basic Skills assessments
- Use technology to support and differentiate instruction
- Participate actively in school life, including music programs, festivals, and other student-centered events
- Demonstrate ongoing professional growth
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution (Education Related Field)
Experience:
- Teaching experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong understanding of hands-on learning experiences that actively engage students
- Ability to integrate age-appropriate technology and AI tools to support and differentiate instruction
- Ability to create engaging, creative lessons that foster curiosity and deep learning
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with students, parents, faculty, and staff
- Effective classroom management with a consistent behavior system
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior
- Ability to maintain student engagement and build a positive learning environment
