As a Sterile Processing Specialist you will prepare, inspect, assemble and sterilizes surgical instruments/equipment according to hospital and departmental procedures. Provide a continuous flow of sterile supplies, equipment and instrumentation to all areas of Children's.
This position requires:
Second shift hours 3pm-11:30pm
This position also participates in a rotating weekend and Holiday.

As a Sterile Processing Specialist you will prepare, inspect, assemble and sterilizes surgical instruments/equipment according to hospital and departmental procedures. Provide a continuous flow of sterile supplies, equipment and instrumentation to all areas of Children's.
This position requires:
- High School diploma or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required.
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- One year experience as a Sterile Processing Tech preferred.
- Current Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) preferred with certification to be obtained no later than 18 months after hire.
- Analytical ability to learn and differentiate different types of instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with physicians, nursing staff and patients/families.
- Ability to stand and maneuver equipment for extended periods of time.
- Knowledge of complex instrumentation preferred.
- Basic knowledge and skill of computer use.
