The person in this role will be responsible for screening, assessing, prioritizing, and providing the nutrition care plan for patients and families, which may be specific to a disease entity but which also encompasses the entire continuum of care – hospital, clinic, and the community.

Full time schedule:

• Week A: M-F (8-4:30)
• Week B: 4 days (8-4:30)
  
  

Outpatient Clinics:

• Primary location is at the Milwaukee Hospital
• Float to other Regional Clinics as needed
  
  

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree required
  
  

Experience:

• Previous experience in clinical nutrition and/or with a pediatric population preferred
• Previous experience with an electronic medical record preferred
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively gather and share information with physicians; counsel and instruct families; participate in a multi-disciplinary team in provision of nutritional care; and provide effective coaching to team members.
• Ability to independently assess patients and their conditions; interpret available data; and evaluate recommendations, outcomes, and patient/family comprehension.
• Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect Children’s values and support our mission and vision.
  
  

Licenses and Certifications:

• Licensed Dietitian with the State of Wisconsin within 180 Days required
• RD-Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration within 90 Days required
  
  

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Provides services in a setting where there is potential for exposure to blood and other high risk body fluids, chemotherapy agents, communicable disease and hazardous materials, chemicals, and waste.
• Specific roles may include standing for long periods of time while rounding in inpatient units.
