We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Aftercare Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging aftercare curriculum tailored to the developmental needs of children age 2 - 12
- Plan and organize age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, curiosity, and physical activity for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment..
- Collaborate closely with parents and guardians to communicate children’s progress, behavior, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration while adhering to childcare safety standards.
Skills
- Background in early childhood education with experience in preschool or daycare settings preferred.
- Classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques suitable for toddlers, preschoolers and elementary students.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in childcare environments.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Experience in lesson planning, classroom experience management, and implementing Montessori or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
