Position Description

This position supports the local office management teams, the financial team, leadership team, and owners of the company with tasks associated with the financial record keeping of the company. The focus of the position is to perform data entry, monitor company finances, track adherence to a budget, record expenses, and enter and maintain vendor contracts, enter and pay vendor invoices, monitor and complete global purchases and:

  • Maintain records of financial transactions ensuring legal requirements and compliance.
  • Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting necessary transactions.
  • Maintain historical records by proper archive methods
  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships and contracts with new and existing vendors
  • Ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
  • Global purchasing of items
  • Processing due invoices for payments
  • Documenting transaction details
  • Entering financial transactions in databases as needed
  • Providing necessary reports and information as requested
  • Fact-checking accounting
  • Notify of any accounting errors or issues
  • Analyzing workflow processes
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
  • Conducting daily banking activities.
  • Assist with reconciling reports to third-party records such as bank statement
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A College degree in accounting, finance, or related field
  • OR a minimum3 years professional level experience.
  • Computer skills including experience with various software programs such as QuickBooks or similar accounting software, spreadsheets, Paychex or similar payroll software, and database programs.
  • Familiarity with medical billing platforms and an understanding of patient billing, collection, and insurance contractual adjustments would be advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to details and accuracy
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
