What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational Therapist position at Children's Therapy Center, Co.?

We are currently looking for an amazing occupational therapist to join our team!

Join our incredible team as an Occupational Therapy Practitioner (OTP) and embark on a rewarding journey of transforming the lives of children and their families! At Children's Therapy Center Co., we're not your ordinary clinic. We're a tight-knit community of passionate professionals who go above and beyond to help children reach their highest potential.

If you're an energetic, adaptable, and creative individual with a genuine love for making a difference, then you're the perfect fit for our team! We believe in breaking free from the confines of the traditional medical and school-based models. Instead, we focus on building strong therapeutic alliances with families and meeting them exactly where they are to ensure positive outcomes.

Picture this: You'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that thrives on providing top-notch OT intervention. And here's the best part – we prioritize quality over quantity. That means no unrealistic productivity standards here! We're all about making a genuine impact and giving our therapists the freedom to excel in our craft.

At our boutique-style clinical setting, you'll have the opportunity to unleash your creativity and tailor your interventions to suit each child's unique needs. We're all about going the extra mile and providing an intimate, personalized experience that makes a real difference.

We foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration. We believe in staying ahead of the curve, seeking out new knowledge, and implementing cutting-edge techniques. Our commitment to excellence means that you'll have ample opportunities to grow and advance in your profession while working with us.

We're not just looking for therapists; we're looking for exceptional individuals who are passionate about making a lasting impact. Our relationship-driven approach means that building strong connections with the families we support is key. We take the time to truly understand each child's journey and work closely with their loved ones to ensure their success.

And here's the cherry on top: we value your personal balance and well-being. We know that happy therapists make the best therapists. That's why we create an environment where your time and dedication are truly appreciated. We offer autonomy and flexibility, allowing you to thrive both personally and professionally.

Now, let's talk about the nitty-gritty. As an OTP at Children's Therapy Center Co., you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Support our clients (and their families) in enhancing performance skills that positively impact their health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
  • Choose and adapt treatment models, methods, and approaches that provide meaningful and transformative results for our amazing kiddos.
  • Educate and guide family members and caregivers, empowering them to better understand and support their child's unique needs.
  • Keep a keen eye on progress, documenting and reporting in a timely manner. We love celebrating those little victories!
  • Collect data and adjust treatment plans as necessary because we believe in constantly evolving and improving our interventions.
  • Create an environment where our clients feel welcomed, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations that dig deep into the underlying challenges that impact successful participation.
  • Offer outpatient and/or school-based services (within our clinic setting), depending on the needs of our diverse clientele.
  • Lead specialized assessments related to sensory-motor development, and craft detailed, high-quality assessment reports.
  • Attend virtual IEP meetings, showcasing your expertise and presenting assessment findings to the team, if applicable.
  • Develop IEP goals, objectives, and treatment plans that make a real difference in the lives of our clients, if applicable.
  • Be instrumental in implementing assessment recommendations that ensure our clients receive the best possible care.
  • Provide consultation and advisement to administrators, teachers, and parents, because we believe in the power of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Maintain a compliant practice because we hold ourselves to the highest standards.

We value candidates with a thirst for knowledge and a passion for Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) treatment practices. If you're not already an expert in this area, don't worry – we're willing to train the right candidate who's eager to grow with us!

What else do we look for? Proven experience as an occupational therapy practitioner is preferred, but if you're brimming with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, we're more than happy to consider you. Excellent knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices is a must, and familiarity with OT evaluation tools (e.g., BOT, Peabody, The GOAL, M-Fun, The Print Tool, etc.) will give you a head start.

Now, let's get personal. We're seeking individuals with exceptional interpersonal communication skills, professional behavior, and the ability to manage and lead clients and families with different personalities. We want someone who is not only a fantastic therapist but also an empathetic and compassionate human being.

Of course, you'll need a valid license to practice occupational therapy and a Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy. But beyond the technicalities, we're looking for someone who's eager to make a name for Children's Therapy Center Co. in the community. We want you to help us build relationships, reach out, and spread the word about the incredible work we do.

At Children's Therapy Center Co., we celebrate diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. We firmly believe that our team's strength lies in embracing different perspectives and experiences.

If you're excited about the opportunity to join our remarkable team, we can't wait to hear from you! Send us your resume and a cover letter that tells us all about you. Share why you believe this position is tailor-made for you and how you'll contribute to our mission of transforming lives. We're eagerly awaiting your application and look forward to meeting you soon!
