Reports To: VP of Human Resources
Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day HR operations of a fast-paced ambulatory dental surgery center. This role partners closely with leadership and staff to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and a high-quality employee experience across both clinical and non-clinical teams.
This individual will play a key role in recruiting, compliance, audit readiness, and employee record management within a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Core ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Support full-cycle recruiting for clinical and non-clinical roles
- Screen, schedule, and interview candidates
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Partner with leadership to ensure timely and strategic hiring
Employee Records & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel files
- Track and manage required annual trainings and certifications
- Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards
- Monitor and enforce documentation requirements across all staff
Audits & State Inspections
- Conduct internal audits of employee files and compliance documentation
- Assist in preparation for state inspections and accreditation surveys
- Maintain audit logs, trackers, and corrective action follow-ups
- Partner with site leadership to proactively address compliance gaps
HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain HR trackers, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Create and update job descriptions
- Build and manage digital forms and workflows (Jotform)
Employee Communication & Support
- Serve as a point of contact for HR-related questions
- Reinforce expectations around compliance and training requirements
- Support a culture of accountability, professionalism, and responsiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field)
- 2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in healthcare or an ambulatory surgery center
- Experience working with clinical teams strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of HR compliance and audit processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data tracking systems
