Join Us as a Payor Services Specialist
The Payor Services Specialist supports the organization wherever needed to keep reimbursement accurate and operations ready. Core responsibilities include maintaining a centralized, up-to-date library of payor rules; coordinating cross-team updates; ensuring portal and provider data accuracy; and assisting with payor claim, authorization, and credentialing resolution projects.
What You'll Do:
Track payor projects
Own a clear log of open claim, auth, or credentialing issues and keep them moving to resolution, ensuring timely updates and closure. Communicate directly with payors to resolve barriers, document commitments, and keep internal stakeholders aligned.
Review payor newsletters and notices
Monitor payor communications, identify what’s changing. Align with the Payor Services Director to communicate and coordinate updates with Authorizations, Billing, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless adoption.
Maintain a payor rules library
Keep a single, accurate source of truth for payor guidelines and requirements so teams can find current rules quickly and avoid errors.
Track authorization denials and manage appeals
Centralize oversight of denials and appeals to protect revenue, meet deadlines, and spot payor patterns that need escalation.
Support new payor contract rollouts
Translate new agreements into operational readiness by setting up portals, EFT, and assisting with initial provider roster loading.
Maintain Payor Portal Access and Data Accuracy
Ensure all payor portals are accessible and up to date with correct provider rosters, addresses, tax IDs, and EFT/ERA settings. Monitor for access issues, expired credentials, or incorrect listings that could impact claims or authorizations.
Support Payor Audits and Information Requests
Assist in gathering documentation and summaries for payor audits, data validations, or special project reviews. Track requests, confirm submissions, and maintain clear audit trails for compliance.
What You'll Need
Education
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
2–4 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, payor relations, contracting, or billing operations required.
Experience working with insurance payors, including portal navigation, claims research, and appeals follow-up.
Exposure to multi-state or multi-payor environments preferred.
Familiarity with credentialing processes and provider data management is a plus.
Work Location & Hours:
This is a full-time position in a hybrid work setting in our Greensboro, NC EI Center.

Reasonable Pay Estimate
A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $23.00 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and experience equity.
