Education & Experience Requirements
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 12 core semester units in Early Childhood Education/Child Development
- At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group childcare program
Alternative Pathways
- Completion of 6 semester units in Early Childhood Education, with enrollment in at least 2 additional semester units until fully qualified
- Or possession of a Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate

Compensation: $21–$24 per hour (DOE)
Position Overview
- Job Title: Preschool Teacher
- Location: First Christian Church, Santa Maria, CA
- Reports To: WINGS Director / Site Director
- Classification: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Start Date: ASAP
Preferred Experience
- Two years of instructional experience in an early childhood setting
Required Clearances & Certifications
- Criminal background fingerprint clearance required
- Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification (within 2 years)
- Physical exam and Tuberculosis clearance
- Required vaccinations: TDAP, MMR, Influenza (or approved waiver)
- Valid California Driver’s License or ID and insurability
