Outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist

The Children’s Program is a well-established private outpatient mental health clinic serving children, adolescents, and families throughout the Portland area. We are looking for a licensed Psychiatrist to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

What makes our practice different is the opportunity to work within an established children’s mental health clinic rather than a stand-alone medication management practice. Our psychiatrists work alongside psychologists, therapists, developmental-behavioral pediatricians, and other specialists who are already providing care to our patients. This creates opportunities for meaningful collaboration, consultation, and coordinated treatment.

We have strong referral relationships with medical providers, schools, and mental health professionals throughout the Portland area, and our administrative team handles intake, scheduling, billing, credentialing, and other operational needs so clinicians can focus on patient care.

About the Position

The psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment planning for children and adolescents with a range of mental health and developmental concerns, including:

· ADHD

· Anxiety and mood disorders

· Depression

· Autism spectrum disorder

· Behavioral and emotional disorders

· Other complex pediatric mental health concerns

Our psychiatrists work closely with the clinicians providing therapy and psychological services, allowing for integrated care and regular consultation when helpful.

We are open to flexible FTE arrangements, including part-time and full-time schedules. Some remote work may also be available depending on clinical needs and patient/family preferences.

We welcome psychiatrists with particular clinical interests or specialties and are happy to discuss the types of patients and age ranges that best fit your interests and experience.

What We’re Looking For

· MD or DO with an active Oregon medical license

· Board certified in Oregon

· Experience working with children, adolescents and young adults

· Strong clinical and communication skills

· Interest in outpatient psychiatric care

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

· A thoughtful, flexible, and patient-centered approach to care
