Summary:
Serves as an assistant to the Department Director in the oversite of clinical operations and outcomes. Responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and management of clinical operations. Participates and promotes evidence-based practice and/or research activities. Utilizes data to design individually tailored interventions, initiate collaborative plans of care and perform evaluations of outcomes. Assists with the supervision and evaluation of staff’s work performance in accordance with established criteria-based standards of performance. Assists with selection, development, coaching and discipline of unit personnel. Shares 24- hour accountability for operations and outcomes with department director.

- Education
- Bachelor's of Science Degree required. Master's Degree preferred
- Experience
- 4-6 years of experience in management preferred.
- Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
- Registry as a Medical Technologist with a national board of registry, ASCP or equivalent required.
Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist or Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist - AMT
Education with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science or Arts
- Masters Degree
Experience with Equivalent Qualifications:
- 4 Years job experience as Supervisor Level with specialization in the field of Laboratory Services
