We are seeking a reliable and flexible Float Teacher to support our classrooms by covering scheduled days off for 4-10 schedule staff.
Position Overview
The Float Teacher will work a consistent 10-hour shift each scheduled day, covering 3–4 teachers across classrooms per week. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys variety while still having a predictable schedule.
Schedule
- 3 or 4 days weekly with 10-hour shift per day
- Covers same 3–4 teachers weekly
- Schedule set in advance and remains consistent
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage for lead and assistant teachers
- Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Follow lesson plans and daily routines
- Communicate effectively with teaching staff and administration
- Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
Qualifications
- Experience working with children (early childhood or classroom experience preferred)
- Flexible, dependable, and professional
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Required certifications/licensing (per state regulations)
