POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position will oversee human resources, including talent acquisition, employee and volunteer relations, compensation, performance management, and compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THE POSITION
Develop and implement HR strategies with Executive Director that align with the organization’s mission, values, and goals
Execute talent acquisition plans to identify and attract top talent, including collaborating with the Advancement team for volunteer acquisition
Ensure that the organization has a diverse and inclusive workforce, and work to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all HR processes and practices
Assist HR the Executive Director in budgeting for compensation and benefits
Support the development of and implement performance management processes and programs
Oversee onboarding and training processes to ensure new employees and volunteers have a successful start
Collaborate with leadership team to develop employee and volunteer retention strategies to attract and retain high-performing employees
Facilitate employee and volunteer grievances and conflicts and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations, and supervisor is involved as needed
Attend the annual leadership/board retreat and contribute to the strategic planning process by providing insight on HR trends, talent management, and organizational development
Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws, payroll regulations, and compliance requirements and ensure that the organization is adhering to all employment laws
Ensure that the organization’s handbooks (employee and volunteer) is up-to-date and that all are aware of the policies and procedures
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Experience Requirements
Education - Associate’s or above degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Certifications/Licenses - Valid Driver’s License Experience
2 years of experience in human resources. Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, compensation and benefits practices, and talent management strategies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate HR-related information to non-HR stakeholders. Passion for the mission and work of the organization. Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and demonstrated ability to build and maintain inclusive work environments
Additional Requirements - Must be willing to work in-person in an office setting. Must successfully pass a background check.

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
