Job Title & Specialty Area: Security Officer

Location: Plano, TX
Shift: PRN as needed
Job Type: On-Site
- Patrol hospital facility internally and externally, enforcing the policies, rules, and regulations of the hospital; give directions and information throughout the hospital and assist with security problems
- Ensure that all hospital entrance and exit doors are secure
- Ensure all personnel entering the complex or building on campus are properly identified
- Write reports on incidents occurring on campus property
- Report all irregularities, emergencies, or suspicious activity to the appropriate party
WORK EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year related experience (i.e. Customer service, healthcare, hospitality, security, law enforcement or military.) required
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Texas Department of Public Safety – Texas Private Security Bureau Registration - Non Commissioned Security Officer training and certification within 6 months of employment required
- Valid, current Texas Department of Public Safety Driver's License upon employment required
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements60 Days required
- Basic Level Certification (CHSO) obtained through International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety organization. Effective 11/13/2020 new employees must obtain this certification within 180 days of hire. Existing employees must obtain this certification by 6/1/2021. 180 Days required
- Texas Department of Public Safety- Texas Private Security Commissioned Security Officer Level 3 certification preferred
