Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development milestones, literacy education, and social-emotional growth.
- Plan engaging lessons that incorporate physical education, math, reading, and other core subjects tailored to different age groups.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
- Provide individualized support for children with special needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
- Document observations related to child welfare, standardized testing results, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop new teaching strategies and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety standards, and childcare policies.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development.
- Experience with special education, early intervention programs, or Montessori methods is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and other core areas.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring methods is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an inclusive environment.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is desirable but not mandatory.
