Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) – DIRFloortime®-Informed Speech & OT Clinic| Plano, TX
Children’s Language Development Center (CLDC)

We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing private practice team.

At CLDC, we value meaningful connection, child-led interactions, and strengths-based therapy. We follow a developmental, relationship-based framework inspired by DIRFloortime®, and we are committed to helping children grow through shared engagement, regulation, communication, and joyful participation.

About Our Clinic:

Our practice supports children with a wide range of developmental, sensory, social-emotional, and communication differences through play-based, relationship-focused therapy. We believe children grow best through connection, co-regulation, and authentic engagement.

We are looking for an occupational therapist who values meaningful connection, child-led engagement, and family-centered care. Experience with DIRFloortime® is highly valued, though we also welcome clinicians with a strong desire to learn and pursue further training in the model.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who loves working in a dynamic pediatric environment and values both clinical excellence and authentic connection with children and families.

What Makes Our Clinic Unique:

  • DIRFloortime-informed, relationship-based model of care
  • Strong emphasis on sensory processing and sensory integration (SI)
  • Large, fully equipped sensory gym designed to support regulation, motor development, praxis, and engagement
  • Collaborative and supportive interdisciplinary team of experienced occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists
  • Neurodiversity-affirming and family-centered approach
  • Supportive environment that encourages professional growth and creativity

Responsibilities

  • Address sensory processing, regulation, praxis, fine motor, gross motor, and participation skills via individual 1:1 OT sessions
  • Collaborate closely with speech therapists and families to support whole-child development
  • Conduct strength-based evaluations and create functional, developmentally appropriate treatment plans
  • Maintain timely documentation and communication with caregivers
  • Partner with families to support carryover and connection at home

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy with pediatric experience
  • Current state OT license (or eligibility)
  • Experience or strong interest in DIRFloortime® and sensory processing
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Warm, playful, and child-centered therapeutic style

We Offer

  • Competitive compensation based on experience
  • Flexible scheduling options
  • Mentorship and opportunities for professional development
  • Access to a large, well-equipped sensory gym and quality therapeutic materials
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture
  • Meaningful work with children and families in a relationship-centered setting
  • Targeted CEU reimbursement, mentorship, and ongoing support from experienced colleagues

If you are looking for a pediatric clinic where sensory integration, connection, collaboration, and child development are deeply valued, we would love to hear from you!
