Job Description
Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment.
Establish and enforce rules and procedures for behavior and safety.
Develop and implement lesson plans that foster academic, social, and emotional growth.
Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles.
Integrate play-based learning and hands-on activities into the curriculum.
Monitor and assess the developmental progress of each child.
Provide individualized support and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all children.
Encourage children’s curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and any concerns.
Utilize Brightwheel for daily communication with parents.
Plan and participate in parent-teacher conferences and other family engagement activities.
Collaborate with families to support the child’s learning and development at home.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
Ensure that all materials and resources are safe, appropriate, and readily accessible to children.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in
early childhood education.
Collaborate with colleagues and share insights and strategies for effective teaching.
Implement positive behavior support strategies and interventions.
Address behavioral issues promptly and effectively, working with parents and other staff as needed.
Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of children.
Administer first aid and handle emergencies as necessary.
Work closely with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive educational
environment.
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of center-wide initiatives.
Education, Skills, And Experience Required
Associates Degree in ECE or Bachelor’s degree
Experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
