What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time School Executive Cook position at Children's House Montessori?
Children’s House is looking for an executive cook who loves to make organic and nutritious meals that suit children!
Our executive chef's job would be to shop for and create weekly menus that children can enjoy and adhere to the state child meal nutrition requirements for morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. Dishes and silverware used during lunch also need to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized as well.

Responsibilites include:
- Shop for and cook meals that children can enjoy
- Cook food in a timely manner
- Clean and tidy kitchen area so it meets the sanitary requirements for children & that it ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Monitor food stock & place and shop order ingredients
- Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
- Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients
Skills include:
- Some experience as a Chef or Cook
- Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment
- Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
- Excellent time management abilities
- Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
- Familiarity with sanitation regulations
