The Remote Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, maintaining system performance, and supporting end-users (teachers, administrators, and parents) with IT-related needs. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Provide remote technical support for staff, faculty, and parents via email, phone, and ticketing systems.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across Windows, macOS, and mobile platforms.
Manage and maintain school IT systems, including learning management platforms, communication tools, and cloud services.
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve escalated issues.
Document technical processes, solutions, and best practices for future reference.
Ensure data security and compliance with school policies and privacy standards.
Proactively monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
RequirementsQualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in technical support or IT helpdesk roles.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
Familiarity with cloud-based tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with patience and empathy for non-technical users.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Experience supporting educational institutions or learning platforms.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, Jira Service Desk).
