Summary
- GENERAL SUMMARY
- The Referral Specialist (MSW, MsED, MA) reports to the Mental Health Therapy Manager and designated Clinical Supervisor.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Triages and schedules referrals for mental health service line.
- Inputs referrals to database and tracks referrals.
- May provide evidence based mental health services and clinical interventions under direct supervision.
- Facilitates comprehensive care management as related to bio-psychosocial components of illness, trauma, and disability.
- Assists clinicians with case management as requested.
- Facilitates admission to inpatient psychiatric facilities as well as referral to outpatient mental health.
- Completes follow up surveys as directed for the mental health program.
- Maintains required records, statistics, and reports.
- Participates in weekly didactic, staff, and supervision meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- Licensed eligible for LCSW or LPC.
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Successful completion of Master’s program from an accredited university with a degree that is licensed eligible for LCSW or LPC.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills necessary.
- Ability to work as a multidisciplinary team member.
- Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II: FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
