Schedule: Nights from 10pm-6am, Fridays and Saturdays two weekdays as needed.
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Guest Services Representative represents hospital as an information resource, and provides visitor triage, in the hospital lobbies in accordance with CHLA visitation and safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Bilingual Spanish preferred. Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual ability.
- Skill in providing accurate information, directions, and wayfinding support.
- Effective conflict resolution skills and the ability to support distressed families with patience and professionalism.
- Comfort working in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to learn hospital policies, procedures, and visitor management protocols.
- Proficiency with computers, phones, visitor management systems, and basic office equipment; ability to perform front desk administrative tasks.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and assist families with directions or escorting.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast paced, high traffic environment.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
