Job Overview

The Process Improvement Specialist Advanced leads enterprise-level, strategic initiatives that span departments and have significant organizational impact. This role applies expert-level data analysis skills, including advanced statistical methods, to inform executive decision-making and optimize complex processes. The Specialist Advanced facilitates collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups, manages resources and interdependencies, and ensures initiatives align with long-term organizational strategy. In addition to mentoring and developing team members, this role partners with senior leadership to shape improvement priorities and promote a culture of continuous improvement. Strong change management expertise is essential to influence at all levels of the organization and drive sustainable, system-wide outcomes.

Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week.

Shift: Day, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, Hybrid (3 days in person)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serves as an organizational expert in Lean Six Sigma, providing oversight, coaching, and direction on methodology across large-scale initiatives and portfolios
  • Identifies and integrates emerging practices, technologies, and industry standards to advance organizational performance
  • Partners with leadership to assess ROI, resource allocation, and financial impact of enterprise initiatives
  • Develops and mentors future leaders to build organizational capability and ensure succession in performance improvement.
  • Oversees large project portfolios to ensure alignment with organizational goals and long-term priorities
  • Facilitates executive-level consensus and alignment on improvement strategies
  • Directs cross-functional improvement teams and collaborates on complex organizational integration efforts
  • Advises departments on enterprise-wide improvement opportunities and integration strategies
  • Oversees enterprise reporting and benchmarking, ensuring compliance and sharing of improvement outcomes internally and externally
  • Oversees risk management and mitigation strategies for enterprise project portfolios
  • Coaches others to develop skills in Lean Six Sigma and performance improvement
  • Assesses organizational priorities and formulates long-term improvement strategies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degrees
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, public administration, finance, management, engineering, or related field
  • Experience
    • Required:Eight (8) years of professional experience with demonstrated expertise in leading complex initiatives, managing cross-functional teams, or driving organizational change. Experience must include one or more of the following: strategic project leadership, process transformation, change management, team development, or senior-level analytical roles. Five (5) years of experience must be in a healthcare environment, with a proven track record of delivering measurable organizational results and influencing performance at the enterprise level.
  • Equivalency
    • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, one year of directly related professional experience may substitute for each year of education. Advanced degrees in relevant fields may count toward up to one year of the required experience
  • Licenses & Certifications
    • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt certification (or equivalent) required, or must obtain within 24 months of hire
Salary Information

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $101,987.37 to $152,981.05
