The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking a Supervisor to work in our Long Term Foster Care Program.
Position Summary:
The Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and evaluation of staff on their unit. The Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the children, the daily living activities and routines of the unit, documentation and the care of the physical unit. The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring agency standards are met, including the quality of activities. The Supervisor assures that the interactions between adults and children are positive and conducive to meeting UC/UM goals. The Supervisor is responsible for maintaining oversight of all unit activities and assigns tasks to staff as needed.
Schedule: Wednesday through Saturday 12pm-10pm

Qualifications
MINIMUM:
- Associates Degree; minimum 2 years child care experience; experience beyond 2 years combined with a High School Diploma or equivalent may be used to offset education requirements.
- Valid New York State Driver's License with good driving record as determined by the Agency.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English and/or any other language as determined relevant to the UC population.
- Must be willing to travel within the U.S. if needed for child-sponsor reunification.
PREFERRED:
- BA/BS Degree
- CPR and First Aid certificates
- Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Trainer
