Clinician - LMSW or LMHC (Orange County)

The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being, and are looking for a Preventive Functional Family Therapy Clinician in our Community Based Services Program.

Position Summary:

The Preventive Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Clinician will be responsible for utilizing the FFT model with families who have adolescents between the ages of 10 and 18. The FFT Clinician will be required to carry a caseload of, at minimum, 10 families. This position requires flexibility in hours to meet families when they are available

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Provide, at a minimum, weekly one-hour, home-based Functional Family Therapy (FFT) to families with adolescents between the ages of 10 and 18, with services lasting between 3-5 months.
2. Carry a caseload of, at minimum, ten FFT cases.
3. Complete all required documentation in both the Client Services System or "CSS" portal and the agency' s EHR system.
4. Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness
5. Collect and report on relevant data from the CSS portal for reporting purposes.
6. Document all interactions with youth, families, and collateral contacts within 24-72 hours of contact.
7. Develop and complete documentation including psychosocial evaluations, reports, treatment plans, and safety plans.
8. Meet with youth and families to provide psychotherapy services, including but not limited to, individual, group and family therapy.
9. Meet with the Assistant Executive Director, Community Based Services for weekly supervision
10. Provide solution-focused interventions using evidence-based practices.
11. Provide crisis avoidance interventions.
12. Provide strengths-based service planning and psychoeducation to children and families in the community.
13. Collaborate with families, schools, and other provider agencies to successfully provide a continuum of care.
14. Participate in weekly individual supervision and monthly group supervision.
15. Complete ongoing training and professional development as necessary.
16. Complete documentation within 24-72 hours of service provision.
17. All other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10am-6pm, Saturday-Sunday OFF, with rotating on-call responsibilities.

MINIMUM Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling required.
2. LMSW, LMHC, or Limited Permit holder actively working toward New York State licensure required.
3. 2-3 years' experience working in a human services field, preferably with children and families
4. Valid NYS Driver's License in good standing as determined by the agency

PREFERRED Qualifications:

1. LCSW
2. Experience in delivery of service
3. FFT Trained
