Job Description Supports the maintenance and operation of research systems and databases related to clinical research. Assists research IS&T and vendors in providing technical support for systems and aids research teams interacting with these systems for their daily tasks. Contributes to the coordination of reporting efforts from these systems and databases.
Experience
1 year experience in a professional working environment
Education
Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a clinical setting
Experience in research coordination
Familiarity with databases
Exposure to project management, training, or research is advantageous
Certification Summary
No professional certifications required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Motivated and capable of working independently toward goals
Good communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of the relationship between coverage analysis, budgeting, and contracting
Ability to read a protocol and assist in translating the events to a subject timeline
Job Responsibilities
Assists in the training and support of the clinical trial management system (CTMS).
Helps in the management and maintenance of CTMS.
Creates study records for Epic and CTMS.
Creates study calendars for research protocols.
Assists clinical research staff with troubleshooting CTMS issues.
Supports the creation of reporting tools for tracking.
Assists in developing and updating processes and workflows.
Helps review clinical research protocols and study budgets for the study build process to aid in the management of research billing compliance, budgeting, subject tracking, and invoicing.
Supports the Epic Research Technology team with Epic system updates and upgrades.
Collaborates with IT, Research Administration, Clinical Research staff, and the Office of Grants Accounting.
Assists in troubleshooting and identifying errors and issues between CTMS and other applications.
Supports the building of Epic Research study timelines.
