Job Description Provides safe transport of laboratory specimens, documents, and laboratory materials within the community, including Children's Healthcare of Atlanta locations and community physician practices. Proactively supports efforts that ensures delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Experience
1 year of parking or transportation experience
Preferred Qualifications
Commercial driver's license
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification Summary
Valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to apply sound judgment and confidentiality in handling patient health information
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to function independently without constant supervision

Ability to drive and operate Children’s vehicles
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for operating and driving Children’s vehicles throughout the organization’s premises as needed and to specified locations.
Facilitate the pick-up and delivery of medical specimens, documents, and supplies among healthcare facilities, laboratories, and designated locations.
Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Handle and transport medical specimens with precision, strictly following safety and storage protocols.
Maintain detailed records of deliveries and pickups, noting any issues or discrepancies.
Foster clear and professional communication with laboratory staff, team members, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with necessary supplies.
Comply with all laboratory policies and procedures concerning specimen transport.
