Location: We have sites in Providence, RI, Pawtucket, RI and Central Falls, RI
Reports To: Child Development Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time

Children’s Friend is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Pre-K Teacher to join our team of early childhood professionals. What You’ll Do:
Deliver high-quality Pre-K education aligned with DCYF and RIDE Comprehensive Early Childhood Education standards
Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum
Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff to support holistic development
Conduct family conferences and home visits to strengthen family engagement
Maintain accurate and timely child development records and data
Supervise, coach, and mentor classroom support staff and teaching assistants
Participate in State Pre-K cohorts and professional development initiatives
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development (or a related field)
RI Department of Education Early Childhood Education Certification (Pre-K–2) required
RIELDS 2 certification (or willingness to complete within one year)
Minimum of three months supervised teaching experience in an early childhood program
A deep understanding of child development, family engagement, and early learning standards
Flexibility to work across sites and in both classroom and community settings
Basic computer proficiency and strong interpersonal skills
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
