About the RoleAs a Family Support Specialist, you’ll provide weekly, culturally competent, home-based services to families in the Healthy Families America program. From parenting education and developmental guidance to crisis intervention and community referrals, you’ll help create a nurturing, stable environment for families to thrive.You’ll be a crucial partner in:Strengthening parent-child relationshipsSupporting families in setting and achieving personal goalsDelivering health, nutrition, and home management educationLinking clients to social services and educational/vocational resourcesHow? You will conduct weekly visits on your assigned families, usually in the family's home. You will maintain proper assessments and documentation of those visits to meet productivity requirements.This position does require you to have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of your assigned families, including availability to conduct home visits at 5:00 p.m. at least two evenings per week in order to accommodate working families.✅ What You BringHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredBilingual language skills highly preferred.Experience working with children and familiesStrong relationship-building and communication skillsUnderstanding of child development and cultural humilityReliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insuranceComfort with both remote and in-person work environmentsReflective, organized, and committed to continuous learningPreferred: Infant mental health endorsement, experience using databases????
