Reports To: Mental Health and Disabilities Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time- 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts)Ā

Childrenās Friend is seeking an Early Childhood Clinician to join our Mental Health and Disabilities Support Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the emotional well-being of children in our Preschool, Head Start, and Early Head Start programs, while also advocating for services that help children with suspected or identified disabilities thrive.
This is a rewarding opportunity to collaborate with teachers, families, and community partners to ensure children receive the mental health support they need during the most critical years of development.
š What Youāll Do:
Conducting comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for children in early childhood programs
Observing preschool classrooms to evaluate children referred for mental health support
Providing therapeutic services and mental health interventions to young children
Supporting teachers with classroom strategies and behavioral supports
Completing intake and enrollment processes for children participating in programs such as Kids Connect
Collaborating with external providers including medical, educational, legal, and human services systems
Providing clinical supervision and guidance to assigned classroom teams
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation, treatment plans, and insurance authorizations
Participating in weekly team meetings, peer consultation, and supervision
Helping identify professional development needs and participating in ongoing training and learning opportunities
š¼ What You Bring:
Masterās Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field
License eligible or actively pursuing clinical licensure
Strong knowledge of early childhood development and preschool classroom environments
Excellent time management and relationship-building skills
Ability to work effectively with diverse families, staff, and community partners
Valid driverās license, reliable transportation, and appropriate insurance
