UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a Limited Part-Time Patient Services Representative to support the office in South Fayette.
Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation.
Clinic Hours: 4:30p-9p Mon-Fri 11:30a-8p Sat, 9:30a-6p Sun
Registration and EPIC experience preferred.
- Patient Interaction:Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
- Scheduling:Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
- Support:Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
- Technology:Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
- Financial Advocacy:Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
- Compliance:Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
- Admin Tasks:Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred.
- Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
