The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position is responsible for operating radiology equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
Essential Functions
- Produces X-ray studies to assist in the diagnosis of abnormal physical conditions
- Positions patients, performs, and processes general diagnostic imaging procedures
- Prepares and maintains records and files as directed
- Cleans and adjusts equipment
- Operates PACs system, and acts as a resource to physicians and other clinical staff to find needed studies
- Performs other duties as required and assigned
- Skill in intervention and collaboration
- Skill in problem solving, critical thinking, and detailed organization
- Ability to operate radiographic/fluoroscopic equipment with efficiency and necessary safety precautions including the Panceph machine to acquire Panoramic and Cephalometric images
- Ability to practice radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills and knowledge of applicable exposure factors to minimize radiation to patient and staff
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with patients, their families, clinic staff and community members
- Ability to operate personal computer and related office equipment as needed to perform job function
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient, personnel, and corporate data
- Ability to effectively manage time with a proven ability to meet deadlines; organization and attention to detail
- Ability to operate personal computer, calculator, fax machine, copier, and other office equipment with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software skills
