Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR department and support organizational growth. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. This role requires a proactive leader with strong communication skills and extensive knowledge of HRIS systems, employment law, and organizational development. The Human Resources Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to develop HR strategies aligned with business objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal and state regulations, including FMLA, OSHA, and workers' compensation standards.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts through sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top candidates using ATS systems like Taleo, Workday, or SAP SuccessFactors.
- Manage employee relations by addressing conflicts, conducting employee evaluations, and facilitating effective communication across teams.
- Oversee benefits administration.
- Design organization structure and succession planning strategies to support long-term company growth.
- Conduct performance management activities including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching for managers and staff.
- Ensure compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and manage workers' compensation claims.
- Lead change management initiatives to improve HR processes through process improvement methodologies.
- Prepare reports using data analysis skills for senior leadership decision-making related to human capital management.
Experience
- Proven management experience in human resources or related fields with supervising responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of HR functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, talent management, and strategic planning.
- Strong understanding of employment & labor law including FMLA, and workers' compensation procedures.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, conflict management, program management, and process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in employee orientation sessions and presentation delivery.
- Experience working with senior leadership on organizational design, succession planning, and change management projects is preferred.
