Position Summary: The Director of Enhanced Family Foster Care actively serves in a leadership capacity within the program and oversees the day-to-day supervision of the supervisors. The Director is expected to function in a leadership capacity that facilitates effective transitioning to the new contracts, stakeholder engagement and marketing of the new programs, policy and procedure development, build capacity, foster sustainability of new contract awards and respective models’ programs.
The Director of Enhanced Family Foster Care promotes and ensures enhancements in program functioning and service delivery for improved quality of services. The Director provides oversight of the case management to ensure model fidelity, performance evaluation and consistency of service delivery that aligns with child welfare mandates and facilitates positive outcomes for families.

Essential Duties
- Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Direct an innovative citywide multi-disciplinary program serving fragile children placed in the Enhanced Family Foster Care Program.
- Supervise a team of Social Work Supervisors which includes supervision of the Enhanced Family Foster Care Unit.
- Work in close collaboration with the Children’s Aid (CA) Health Services Division, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services, and hospital and community-based programs to develop a holistic approach for the care of foster children with multiple special needs.
- Responsible for oversight of intensive outreach to connect children and families with agency and community resources.
- Participate in supervisory, staff and management team meetings and planning sessions.
- Participate in various meeting with ACS and other administrative meeting.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Master’s degree in social work or a related field required; plus, minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a foster care program.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Significant management experience in a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle emergency situations.
- Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate (including CONNECTIONS).
- Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) a plus.
