Position Summary: The position is for a Training Coordinator in the CWFS division for the Homemaker Services program. The Homemaker service program is a preventive program that supports families in managing daily activities with their children.

Essential Duties:

  • Understand and promote the organization's Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
  • 30% Manage maximum caseload of 10 families.
  • 30% Provide coordination and leadership of homemaker trainings
  • 10% Supervision of homemakers assigned to client families.
  • 10% Monthly home visits to families assigned.
  • 5% Ongoing assessment of service needs and appropriateness of service.
  • 5% Development and review of Task Plans with each family.
  • 2% Recommendations for reauthorization, including recommendations for increased/decreased hours and case closing.
  • 2% Advocacy for clients in securing additional services and/or linking with other community resources.
  • 2% Maintenance of case records and preparation of all required reports.
  • 1% Liaison with primary case workers from other agencies and HASA staff.
  • 2% Attend in-service training and staff meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work required.

Key Competencies:

  • Two plus years of related experience, preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Demonstration of sensitivity to clients' ethnicity, cultural background and family situations.
  • Basic awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on families, preferred.
  • Sound casework and assessment skills.
  • Effective advocacy skills.
  • Knowledge of and ability to utilize community resources.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.

The incumbent is expected to work a schedule, whether in-person or hybrid, as determined by the department's needs to facilitate effective collaboration with the team. The position's requirements are subject to periodic review and adjustment based on organizational needs and changes in work dynamics.
