What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caseworker position at Children's Aid Society?
This position assists with daily operations and services for the Adoption Program and Family Support Services.
Job Functions:
· Provide full range of Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network services.
· Provide intercountry services to prospective adoptive parents to include: assessment, home study preparation, counseling, parent preparation, search work, preparation of court documents, post-placement visits and reports, and attendance at finalization hearings.
· Provide pre-to-post placement services to prospective adoptive parents.
· Assess individuals and families, using interviewing, discussion, testing, and observing techniques and periodic review of needs and progress. In conjunction with the family, develop and execute service plans to address family needs.
· Attend interdisciplinary meetings and court proceedings as needed, as well as trainings and staff meetings as scheduled.
· Instruct and coach family members on concerns like: communication; child rearing, structure and positive discipline; financial management; home organization, cleanliness and management; medical, dental and mental health needs.
· In collaboration with the family, provide linkages and consultation, assistance in accessing services such as child care, transportation, housing, mental health, food banks, support groups, treatment facilities, legal aid, etc.
· Be available to work non-traditional hours on a regular basis and to work emergency hours occasionally, which include, but are not limited to, evening and weekend hours.

Pay: $30,050.00 - $32,250.00 per year
