The Children’s Advocacy Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania (CAC/NEPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional assessment and treatment services for child and teen victims of abuse and neglect. Located in Clarks Summit, PA, the center is a safe and welcoming space that operates 24/7 to support children in need. With a specialized Teen Advocacy Center, the organization focuses on tailored care for teenagers. Using a coordinated Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) approach, CAC/NEPA prioritizes the needs of the child, minimizing trauma by providing compassionate support under one roof.
This is a full-time on-site role for a Mental Health Therapist. The role is based in Clarks Summit, PA. The Mental Health Therapist will provide direct therapeutic services to children and teenagers who have experienced abuse or neglect. Core responsibilities include developing and implementing treatment plans, conducting individual and family therapy sessions, maintaining comprehensive case documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary team members, and participating in case management tasks. The therapist will contribute to creating a supportive and healing environment for clients and their families.
- Experience in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Background in Social Work and Case Management with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Expertise in Mental Health and Family Therapy practices
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- An advanced degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (e.g., LCSW, LPC, or similar credential)
