Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Coordinator

The MDT Coordinator position involves the coordination of child abuse cases through the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and Law Enforcement. This position ensures that cases and clients that meet criteria are served by Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas (CACNT). This is a position consisting of development of professional relationships between the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and the Children’s Advocacy Center for North Texas (CACNT). The Multidisciplinary Team consists of all disciplines involved in the investigation/prosecution of severe child abuse cases.
Essential Functions
Monday to Friday 8am to 5 pm, but hours may vary and be extended until 9 pm according to company needs
Travel
This position will be in the Lewisville, TX office. Travel within Denton, Wise, and Jack counties about 25% of work time is required.
Education and Training
Bachelor’s degree in social work, criminal justice, or related field required.

Essential Functions
- Follow-up and coordinate with the MDT to ensure children who meet the parameters of a joint investigation defined in CACNT’s protocols receive a coordinated investigation.
- Accurately enter documentation of services related to case coordination, outcomes, dispositions, and case review meetings into agency’s case tracking software.
- Support efforts to build relationships with CACNT partner agencies, including onsite interactions and specific follow-up to ensure a positive customer service experience.
- Assist in the coordination of partner satisfaction and wellness related events (i.e. partner recognition, team building, etc.).
- Assist the Training Institute with cross discipline training and greeting MDT partners.
- Serve as a backup for MDT Intake Specialist by reading and screening child abuse reports coming from the Department of Family and Protective Services.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience
- Minimum 2 (two) years experience working for law enforcement, CPS, or DA’s Office.
- Minimum 2 (two) years experience working collaboratively within a team setting.
