Duties
- Provide attentive, nurturing care tailored to infants’ individual needs and developmental stages
- Design and implement age-appropriate activities that promote sensory exploration, motor skills, and emotional security
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, milestones, and daily experiences
- Support early childhood development through play-based learning and positive behavior management techniques
- Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other routine caregiving tasks with patience and professionalism
- Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in caregiving practices and classroom management
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
- Experience working in daycare settings or with preschool-aged children in classroom environments
- Certification in first aid and CPR for infants and children
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities
- Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively while providing personalized attention to each child
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated caregiving skills including nurturing, patience, behavior management, and safety awareness
