What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Older Infants position at Children First Child Development Center?
Our Team Members
- Recognize the importance of play in early childhood.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, children, and parents.
- Rely on classroom routines and an age appropriate schedule.
- Adapt lesson plans and activities to meet children’s varying developmental stages.
- Create and submit lesson plans and monthly newsletter to the Program Coordinator and post and distribute them to families after review.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws and center policy including incident and accident reports and observation notes for child portfolios.
- Practice the Ask, Acknowledge and Adapt approach when communicating with others.
- Communicate with families to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
- Provide appropriate intentional teaching and behavior guidance techniques.
- Maintain attendance and teacher-child ratio in compliance with state licensing standards.
- Ensure active supervision at all times.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of effective practices in early childhood education.
- Maintain a safe, clean, clutter-free environment, and report any needed repairs to the Center Director.
- Encourage and support parent participation in center events.
- Participate in Fundraisers, Open Houses, and other Center Events.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
