Founded in 1988, Child Development Schools is headquartered in Austin, TX operating over 260 childcare centers in 11 states. Our three early childhood education brands are Childcare Network, Sunrise Preschools, and My Small Wonders. We proudly provide quality care and developmental education to over 30,000 children aged six weeks to twelve years.
We have a great opportunity for a Region Director of Operations to join our growing company!
Through their leadership, the Region Director of Operations is responsible for achieving company goals and growth, employee relations, business trends, and ensuring that company policies and standards are being met in each school. The Region Director is specifically tasked with the management of district managers and support teams in their region, and work alongside them to ensure they develop personally and professionally. The Region Director of Operations will work collaboratively with members of HR, Finance, Risk Management, Real Estate, Executive Leadership, and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Uphold, practice, and ensure adherence to New Day Principles.
- Work collaboratively with members HR, Finance, Risk Management, Real Estate, Executive Leadership, and other departments in implementing and achieving company goals around the distributed service model.
- Strong commitment towards Diversity and Inclusion and ability to work with diverse talent pool.
- Craft and implement regional strategic plans that align with company goals.
- Uphold company standards of excellence and service, guaranteeing quality performance.
- Advise schools on business and operational systems and improvements to help growth and development.
- Manage and oversee Risk Management and insurance claims protocols as determined and in coordination with the Risk Management Manager.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all state (licensing and other) authorities and community contacts. Remain abreast of national and professional trends and standards for delivering high quality children's programs. Take proactive approach with regard to government relations.
- Ensure region profitability; drive revenue growth and expense control while managing challenging issues such as labor costs, collection of receivables, etc.
- Travel between 50% - 75%

Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years in management role and experience in a multi-school or multi-site environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Business
- Preferred Graduate Degree Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Business preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with different departments within organization
- Ability to manage and work with diverse employees and customers
- Exceptional change management ability
- Effective at establishing clear customer-focus objectives and measures
- Strong delegation and leadership skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Ability to solve complex issues and conflicts
- Ability to travel independently (Multi-state travel required)
