Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Cook/Manager to lead our meal services with enthusiasm and expertise. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee meal planning, food preparation, and service operations, ensuring a high standard of quality and safety. Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the dietary department, including meal preparation, menu planning, and food service delivery
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality food presentation
  • Develop nutritious, appealing menus that meet dietary guidelines and accommodate special dietary needs
  • Oversee food handling procedures, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
  • Coordinate catering services for events, ensuring timely and accurate meal delivery
  • Train staff on culinary techniques, knife skills, food preparation, and proper food handling practices
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and manage kitchen equipment maintenance

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dietary department management or similar food service leadership roles
  • Strong background in dietary aide responsibilities, menu planning, and culinary techniques
  • Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and kitchen operations
  • Experience working in school or childcare settings with a focus on quality
  • Skilled in food preparation, cooking methods, meal assembly
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment
