In addition to our school partnerships, we also provide comprehensive outpatient therapy services, creating opportunities for collaboration across settings and disciplines.

The Position:

We are seeking a highly motivated PT or PTA to join our school team full-time. This is a desirable school system outside of the metro Birmingham area. This is an ideal opportunity to join a practice with over 10 years of history delivering therapeutic services in the academic setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual therapy services for clients
• Complete all required documentation for clients
• Collaborate with Child'sPlay colleagues and school team to discuss progress and recommendations for clients
• PT only - Perform diagnostic evaluations and document, analyze, and interpret results
• Collaborate with teachers, special education coordinators, and other services providers to help clients reach their goals
• Attend IEP meetings to advocate for the clients school based services
• Participate in our mentorship network as either mentee or mentor

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice physical therapy
• Pediatric physical therapy experience or other experience working with children in a clinical capacity

The first step in our interview process is a video or phone chat with a member of our recruiting team. From there, we will invite candidates to an in-person interview. You will meet members of our schools team (your future co-workers!) and this interview may also include a brief observation of a therapy session. By the end of the interview process, you should have a sense of who we are and how our PTs are helping children take their next steps.
