Office Assistant & Classroom Support — Paid Internship Opportunity
Pay: $13-14/hour | 20-35 hours per week (2–6 PM required, flexible mornings)

About the Opportunity:
Looking for a paid internship that combines business administration, child development, and hands-on community work? Join our team as an Office Assistant & Classroom Support! This role provides real-world experience in communication, organization, and teamwork in a non-profit early childhood education setting. You’ll gain insight into how small centers are managed while also supporting teachers and children directly.
What You’ll Do
1. Administrative & Office Support
a. Greet families and assist with daily communication
b. Answer phones and relay messages to the appropriate staff
c. Print, laminate, and assemble curriculum materials and newsletters
d. Restock office forms, supplies, and shared materials
e. Assist with center-wide projects (family events, bulletin boards, fundraisers)
f. Organize supplies and workspaces to support smooth daily operations
2. Classroom Support
a. Float in classrooms to maintain ratios during transitions and teacher breaks
b. Help prepare and support sensory and art activities
c. Assist children during handwashing, mealtimes, and transitions to outdoors
d. Refresh classroom materials and rotate learning activities
3. Professional Learning / Exposure
a. Learn about state licensing and compliance expectations
b. Observe how directors manage scheduling, staffing, and daily operations
c. Gain experience using administrative tools (Google Drive, Microsoft Office, ProCare)
Note: Interns do not handle confidential information such as child or staff files, financial information, or any disciplinary action.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 2–6 PM required
- Flexible morning hours available
- 20-35 hours per week
What You’ll Gain
