Summary:
Assists with a variety of administrative tasks for the Program Coordinator and helps curate and operate community wide events for runaway youth.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with community and Statewide events as required.
- Maintain and update all social media platforms weekly.
- Supports Program Coordinator with maintaining local hotspots by ensuring that events are stocked with program materials and perishable snacks.
- Completes and attends all trainings and meetings in a timely manner as well as participating in group Anger Management Sessions for youth.
- Support program youth in developing positive attitudes, goals, and self-confidence.
- Respond to RHY hotline calls and provide telephone support.
- Provide crisis counseling support to RHY program youth.
- Serve on-call after business hours to provide telephone counseling and crisis response for the RHY hotline. May include meeting with a runaway youth outside of normal hours.
- Local travel throughout the State (mileage reimbursable).
- Serves as back-up staff to Children’s Center (shelter) when staffing needs arise
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for program participants as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or social science field (Social work, sociology, psychology, counseling) preferred; or an Associates' degree with relevant experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a family counseling or child-serving agency including direct services.
- Experience with social media platforms and office software.
- Experience with community-based services.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member with a positive attitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality, ethics and professional boundaries.
- Flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends.
- Must be responsible, dependable and able to take initiative.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, act independently, and make decisions that impact youth and program operations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $37,000.00 - $39,000.00 per year
