Position Purpose
The Assistant Center Manager works with the Center Manager to administer all pertinent provisions of Head Start and Child, Inc policies and regulations and is responsible for the total operation of the center. This individual sets the example in supporting Head Start philosophy of meeting the needs of the family as a whole. Work involves planning, implementing, and evaluating programs; and managing the day-to-day operations of a central kitchen for food preparation. This is a 10-month position (August June).
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a baccalaureate degree in early childhood education or a related major.
- One (1) year of classroom experience in a licensed childcare center.
- Head Start experience required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish, preferred.
- Must possess valid driver's license and insured automobile; ability to travel and attend overnight training.
- Must pass all criminal history background checks and E-Verify.
